THRU THE YEARS - THE PLATINUM SERIES Vol. I
From the romantic contemporary classic, 'Tenderly,' and the seemingly impossible high D of the Sacred Repertoire piece, 'Cujus animan,' to the live outdoor, cricket accompanied concert recordings of two French Art Songs: the hauntingly beautiful 'L'huer exquise' and touching 'Le mirior,' they are all part of this Thru The Years Volume I collection, including his very first recording, 'Lord's Prayer,' produced by Bing Crosby at Bing's home recording studio when Keith was just sixteen years old. Also here is his orchestra accompanied live-on-KFI Radio recordings of the classic love songs, 'Iris' and 'Rose of the World.' Two of several selections recorded during The Hollywood Bowl Auditions contest of 1949. That year Keith was the winner in the Mens Vocal category. Several opera selections..... (more)
CH'ELLA MI CREDA- 'Let her believe'
This impromptu performance at age 63, was filmed at Keith's modest apartment in North Hollywood, California. There he spent the last two decades of his life. This aria, from the opera 'La fanciulla del west' was his mother's favorite, and Keith nicknamed her 'Minnie' in reference to the opera's heroine. Keith's 1962 recording of Ch' ella mi creda is one of four selections available for listening from The Hollywood Recordings.
THRU THE YEARS - THE PLATINUM SERIES Vol. II
From the sadness of the contemporary classic about love lost, 'Love Look Away,' and Keith's dramatic interpretation of the Neapolitan 'Core 'ngrato' (Ungrateful Heart), to his first recording as a tenor at age twenty-one, the angelic aria 'Spirto gentil,' Thru The Years Vol. II continues the varied theme of selections found on Vol. I. Also here is his orchestra accompanied live-on-KFI Radio singing of the popular contemporary song, 'The Sunshine of Your Smile,' recorded during The Hollywood Bowl Auditions contest of 1949. There are Art Songs: the rarely-recorded obscure and affecting 'The Light,' and Keith's first rendition of 'Le mirior,' both are interpreted with artistry. There are two live offerings from a Redlands Bowl concert, 'Si mes vers' and 'The Nightingale and The Rose,' and..... (more)
THE HOLLYWOOD RECORDINGS

As a companion piece is Keith's favorite Christmas song, the beautiful 'Wulnachten,' by composer Englebert Humperdinck.
